In 2019, Souza was invited to Goa, the birthplace of his grandfather, F.N. Souza, to participate in a project with the serendipity art festival, under the curation of Vivek Menezes.

 

The project, Icon, was a collection of murals that told the tales of many of Goas’ unsung heroes. Souza spent several months in Goa, working on a range of murals inspired by the local culture and people.
